Just Danglin'

Video Games aren't just a hobby, they're a way of life. There are four types of people in this world; recreational gamers, hardcore gamers, Adam Dangler, and those who don't play video games at all. I myself have reached a level of gaming previously unknown to the gaming community. This unparalleled level of commitment to the destruction of both high scores and other players has come to be known as Danglin'. From Pokemon to Halo 4, I don't take losing lightly; i gotta catch/beat 'em all. My addiction to competitive gaming started when I came across my older brother and his friends playing Halo 2 in my living room. upon seeing me, my brother, with the intent of mercilessly beating me, invited me to join. To no one's surprise, i got demolished. Instead of dwelling on my defeat, I, to everyone's surprise, wanted to play again. Even though I'd lost, I'd enjoyed myself and wanted redemption After a few more weeks of halo with my brother and his friends, I decided to unrelentingly pester my parents for an Xbox of my own. After their ears had stopped bleeding from my high pitched whining, they gave in and bought me what i wanted. After a few weeks of gaming from the moment i got home until the moment i went to bed (with the exception of potty breaks and dinner), i was ready for my rematch. To everyone's surprise except my own, i beat my brother and his friends. To them it wasn't a big deal, but to me, i was on top of the world.
